Episode 1: The Search for Inspirado (Original Air Date 11/28/97)

After playing a gig at open mic night.  The host Paul F. Tompkins asks the band to perform a new song. The duo search for "inspirado", but are unsuccessful. Because of this, they band breaks up and in the end their divide gives them the inspiration to write a new song.

Episode 2: Angel in Disguise (Original Air Date 12/5/97)

Jack falls in love with a girl (Flarna) and confesses this to his best friend Kyle. When Jack sees Kyle trying to impress Flarna he uses swift karate moves against him.  While this fight goes on, Flarna is taken by a criminal who shoots Jack.  But Kyle jumps in front of the bullet.  However, he survives due to an over-sized friendship medallion that Jack had given him made of bulletproof lead.

Episode 3: Death of a Dream (Original Air Date 11/27/99)

During a failed autograph signing at another open mic gig, the pair talk to the store owner, who convinces the duo that believing they could be rock stars is like believing in Sasquatch. The band almost gives up on their dream, but is saved when they discover Sasquatch and he tries out for the band.

A writer moves into the apartment next door to the duo. During a practice he gets extremely annoyed and calls the police.  Tenacious D must sing The Greatest Song in the World to get out of trouble!

Episode 5: The Fan (Original Air Date 3/15/00)

After playing open mic night, a fan named Lee helps the D when Jack throws his pick into the audience.  He tells them about his fan site dedicated to the band and The D immediately checks it out.  They begin to stalk Lee by breaking into his house and following him around singing a song written about him.  He gets annoyed but in the end the friends perform a "Special Thing" together.

Episode 6: Road Gig (Original Air Date 3/23/00)

The open mic night host invites the D to play at his brothers club, giving the D their first road gig.  On the road a bug hits the windshield and there is no wiper fluid.  Searching for a place to get a refill of washer fluid, the band comes across Jesus Ranch, a ranch at which a cult was living. The cult had an odd philosophy about burying their feces outside.  Because of this, they could grow huge crops, which the health department wanted to put an end to.  There was a standoff and the health department employees decided to play loud music.  At this point the D conducted a battle of the bands, which they won, and were able to make it to their gig.
